Advent Conspiracy Update

Some of you know this already - we took part in the Advent Conspiracy this year. Some of you don't have a clue what I am talking about so let me explain...
Each year our church takes up a special offering at Christmas time and donates it to projects abroad and in the USA. This year we did the same but linked with The Advent Conspiracy Project, whose focus is getting clean drinking water to people that don't have it. We were challenged to not buy Christmas gifts this Christmas time and to give all the money we would have spent to this, and we did. Instead of focusing on the material aspect of Christmas we focussed on the true meaning and spent lots of time together enjoying the fact that we did not have to be rushing around like everyone else! It was a special Christmas time and we plan on doing it year after year...

This is an update from the Advent Conspiracy detailing how much money was raised and what that money is doing...If only more people joined in...imagine what could be done!
